More Hand dye Fabric

It's supposed to be spring and

it's still freezing cold out.

Look who I saw in my backyard

I couldn't get a better photo; I was

still in my PJ's.  He was probably

looking for fish in the creek. It

was breakfast time.

Working to build up more inventory

in my shop.  Here's the latest

This is one of my favorite techniques
that I developed. I love this!
All of the ones that I had listed
sold out!  More to come.

Brown and beige shibori - good
for trees or landscape fabric.

 Sunset and sky fabric.

More Sky fabric - done shibori pole
wrap technique.

More Sky Fabric - I really love
the way this one came out!

I also added a couple of scrap
packs with shibori and textures.

If you're interested in any of these;
head on over to my etsy shop - See
side bar.

Happy Quilting!

Opening Windows

It's Sunny outside and 72 degrees here in

Lancaster county!

Finally I can open up the windows and air

out the house! A wonderful breeze is blowing

through.

Spring cleaning has begun and I have a

lot of fabrics that I'm selling in my Etsy shop.

I have opened another shop there just for

my hand dyed fabrics - called Materialistic

Visions. My other shop is just for my quilts

and quilted items.

I have lots of strips and have made a bundle

of 30 pieces. Various colors, textures and designs!

A set that is 2" wide and various lengths

A set that is 2 1/2" wide

and 3" wide

These are mostly cut offs from larger pieces.

Lots of ideas - weave or make an abstract collage.

I will be adding more pre-cut squares during the week.

I had to stop feeding the birds for awhile thanks

to these silly crackles that chased them away

and were eating their food. blah!

Spring Cleaning

Finally - First sign of spring

A bit of color in the landscape!

Lots of work ahead - cleaning out the flower beds.

And House cleaning - blah

but it has to be done. Curtains, blinds and windows

but I'll save that for next week.

I'm starting in the closets and with my tubs

of my hand dyed fabric.

Remnants ---

and pre-cuts 60 pieces   3" x 3"

Pretty colors for spring - in my Etsy shop.

I have a lot more to got through!

Happy Spring!

Pouchettes - Hand dyed shibori fabric

I have been dyeing fabric for a couple

of years now and have accumulated

another stash!

I've made several hand bags out of some

of the fabrics and they all sold out in

my Etsy shop last year.  So I decided to start

making more of them.

A Small Clutch

I love this one in greys! It's made from a piece

of my hand dyed greys and the middle piece

is from one of my shibori pieces.

I'm having such fun making them as I am

making them intuitively - which I love doing!

What I mean is that I am working with a

purse pattern but the overall design is

intuitively pieced.

The fabrics are laid out on the table and then

the selection begins. That's the fun part!

These little bags are light and great when

you just need to carry your essentials - money,

cards, keys and phone.

I take one with me shopping when I don't want

to carry a heavy hand bag all around with me.

This should keep me busy for quite awhile!

Happy Quilting!
